... being calm ... being present ...

Hey everyone ...

... the art of being calm when the earth is constantly moving ... it sound easier than it actually is ... I don't have the instant answer but I do know someone who does ... Jesus is my storm calmer ... He is my solid rock when the ground is moving  ...  so on second thought, maybe it is as easy as that ... just call out JESUS ...

... He doesn't stop the world moving  ... just brings clarity and perspective ... 

... being calm helps me to be more present in my everyday ...

... it helps me to respond to daily situations better ... 

... I wish you all a calm God filled day ...

Gentleness always reminds me of breath.  The rapid, shallow breath that comes with anxiety and panic and then the slow, deep breath that comes with being relaxed and calm.  Ask God to help transform your breathing to be slow, deep and gentle breaths ...

Set your intentions to be gentle in response to people.  Imagine how God can use you if you start the conversation with a  gentle, respectful attitude.  

Be that vessel for God to use.

... Mother Theresa GodMoment ...

Welcome to Friday GodMoments.  A day to reflect and share how God is moving in our lives.

Reflecting on Faithful followers of Christ, Mother Theresa came to mind.  The quintessence of Love and Compassion coming from a Jesus Heart.  Her life was dedicated to faithfully following Christ and serving the poor in India.

Some amazing random things I wanted to share about this awesome woman of God.

• The world knew of her humanitarian deeds and gave her a Nobel Peace Prize in 1979.  

• Her birth name was Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu (gonxha meaning "rosebud" or "little flower" in Albanian) was born on 26 August 1910, in Üsküb, Ottoman Empire.

• She left home at age 18 to join the Sisters of Loreto as a missionary. She never again saw her mother or sister.

• She experienced what she later described as "the call within the call" while traveling by train to the Loreto convent in Darjeeling from Calcutta for her annual retreat. "I was to leave the convent and help the poor while living among them. It was an order. To fail would have been to break the faith."

• In 1982, at the height of the Siege of Beirut, Mother Teresa rescued 37 children trapped in a front line hospital by brokering a temporary cease-fire between the Israeli army and Palestinian guerrillas.  With Red Cross workers, she traveled through the war zone to the devastated hospital to evacuate the young patients.

Such Faithfulness brings light into all dark places and encourages us all  to walk the walk.  Keep on keeping on, in all things and be faithful in the small things because God will always be watching your back ... this I know for sure.

Hey everyone ...  being faithful to Yourself  ... this honors the God that created you to be the most amazing you in the history of this world ... there is only one You ... created by God to do only what You can be and do ...

... no-one else can fill your shoes ... 

... Be faithful and know that God will finish all that he has began in you ... 

... stand strong ... stand tall ... 

... BE FAITH-FILLED AND FAITHFUL ...

Such a great parable Jesus told ... though sometimes it seems hard to persevere in faith ... to keep focused on eternity in a world of materialism and hazy standards.


The rewards are great and eternity is a long time compared to the shortness of a  human life ... Choose God first ... Life is all about choices.


Choose to be steadfast and faithful in the small things so God will trust you with bigger things ... One step at a time ... Just focus on God and each individual step ... Watch life progress without the fear that creeps in when you feel overwhelmed ...

Scott Harrison, Founder of charity: water wrote this in the Washington Post.

"In four years, we've funded over 3,800 water projects to provide more than 1.7 million people in 17 countries with access to clean and safe drinking water. Along the way, we've formed a movement to fight the water crisis: we have more than 100,000 individual donors and 13,000 individuals raising funds on their own for the cause. 

Our goal is to reinvent charity: we use 100% of all public donations to directly fund water projects on the ground and we prove each completed project with GPS coordinates plotted on Google Maps. We use social media outlets like Facebook and Twitter to help share our message; we keep things simple and empower our supporters to make our story their own."

Can you see the smile on God's face from here ...  I am in awe and amazement of how much charity:water is doing to save lives with clean water ... just image the avalanche love and heavenly treasures God has in store for these guys ... Thanks Scott and charity:water
