Keep Love Alive

Remember the heart pounding moment when you first surrendered your Heart to Jesus.

That very first encounter.

The overwhelming compulsion that rose up inside and led you to freedom.

Warm acceptance ... hope ... the exhilaration of possibility.

Walls were broken down and new ways opened up.

The old was gone ... changed forever ... and a new chapter began.

I can still recall moments from 20 years ago when Jesus was introduced to me ... places ... people ... conversations ... connections.  Life has moved on but those first encounter days are vivid. There is something about God's initial embrace. 

My challenge to you is to work hard at remembering this Revelation of Love ... don't let the flame go out ... Keep Love Alive.

Don't let busyness and complacency creep in ... keep on rekindling that Love ...

His Love that will never let you go.


His Love that will fight for you.

Established in Love

 I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

Ephesians 3:16-19

I have spent the last week pondering and chewing over ... 'established in Love' ... and soaking up that Love ... getting a better understanding of God's Love for us ... God's Love for me!

I need to get this deep into my foundations ... unlearn some old beliefs that are not from God and start to truly grow an understanding of this Freely given (cannot be earned) ... everlasting ... LOVE.

Now I just have to keep watering that small seed and watch my heart and mind grow.

That puts a smile on my face ... and joy in my heart.

Happy Australia Day

Let's celebrate all that is Australian

filling up the LOVE tank

If I could have interviewed Jesus back when he walked the earth, what would I say ... 

I could have done a 60 minute special ... asked the hard hitting questions ... been the IT journalist in BC.

But the one question I have today is ... Why am I always running on empty?


Why can I read Ephesians and hear about the power that we have through Jesus ... yet still feel like these words are for everyone else, not me ... or I start off with such momentum and find the energy to sustain me diminishes fast.


Yet as I am writing this, the aha moment just hit ... it is not about me ... it is about putting Jesus first.  Not only asking Him for the power but continually asking Him to top up my tanks ... to fill up my Love tanks so that I can keep on being kind and patient and Loving.  Because in my own strength it is not possible but with God all things are possible.
