Loving all God's people

" That is why since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all God's people, I have not stopped giving thanks to God for you. I always remember you in my prayers ..."

Ephesians 1 : 15 - 16

... China and beyond ...

Hello everyone ...

I have been hiding away in China for a few weeks ... and have come back with a few thoughts ... China was very different from what I expected ...  very big city skyscraper ...

But after having time to ponder life ... this is what I know for sure ...

God has written a beautiful story for each of our lives ... God knew us before we were formed ... He called us by name.  What He has started, He will finish.

"Just think—you don't need a thing, you've got it all! All God's gifts are right in front of you as you wait expectantly for our Master Jesus to arrive on the scene for the Finale. And not only that, but God himself is right alongside to keep you steady and on track until things are all wrapped up by Jesus. God, who got you started in this spiritual adventure, shares with us the life of his Son and our Master Jesus.
He will never give up on you. Never forget that."
1 Corinthians 1 : 7 - 9

Trust Him and Pray.

I visited many places and saw many sights ... God was working on me ... some things changed in me as I wandered but also many things remained the same.  How China has adapted and changed over the centuries is amazing ... the rich history of Dynasties over the centuries ... an old way of living - small fishing villages that are being lost amongst the skyscrapers ... an indifference that is pervading our earth everywhere ... and also a generosity and kindness that brings a smile to my heart ... life is a mixed bag ... everywhere there is good and bad ... I want to open my eyes to See God more and more in my day.

Happy pondering to you all ... and may your eyes be opened.

Be blessed and be a blessing

... God's promise to Speak and Listen ...

 Hello World ...

" Here I am!  I stand at the door and knock.  If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me."
Revelation 3 : 20

What I love about this verse is the 'and they with me' ... this talks about a two way communication.

My God is all about being interactive ... he wants relationship.

Listen with all your 6 senses and you will see and hear Him all day long ... His voice is everywhere.

Know Him better and you will start to be more like Him.

(extract from my writings)

Kneeling down ... the tears flowed freely.
Her breath was heaving and gasping.
Large wet patches were appearing on her skirt where the tears collected as they ran down her arm.
The lights were off in the bedroom but she could feel the wetness on her thighs as it soaked through her skirt to her skin.

The feeling of utter helplessness was overwhelming.  Knowing her husband did not like the thought of the nurses helping him and that he relied on her to wash and feed him.  He tried so hard to hold onto what little dignity he had but his strength was escaping fast.  The life was being sucked out of him by the ravages of cancer.

Now he was too heavy for her to lift.  Today she had finished bathing him as usual but when it came time to lift him out ... the struggling was tireless and even with the little help her husband gave, it was useless.  She had to call the nurses for help.  She could still see the image of her hand reaching for the buzzer on the wall ... it seemed like the seconds were slowing downs.  This was far more significant and she knew it.  No one had to tell her ... her whole body wrenched on the inside.

It felt like all her worlds were colliding and coming to an end.  Her heart was crushing under the weight of being her husbands carer and now she was letting him down.

"God ... this is not fair!"

" Can't you make it stop."

" Make this pain go away."

She was pleading with God.
These word were spoken from heartache and exhaustion.

As her sobbing began to slow down she noticed all the tissues by her knees and gathered them up in her hands ... these days were a surreal mixture of seeing someone leaving this life and struggling to let go, that intense internal struggle before death and at the same time having to do the everyday tasks of cooking, cleaning and washing clothes.

Much of her conversation with God that night, happened heart to heart ... no words were spoken but the healing had began on the inside ...

Think of someone who needs your love and encouragement ...

Why not send them a quick text to remind them they are valued ...

Now you have just passed on God's Love ... it's as easy as that ... DONE!

Be blessed and be a blessing
