 Hey Everyone ... Jewel wrote this great song 'Ten' about stepping back from situations and not acting irrationally ... not doing something you might regret ...

... what she speaks of are great tools to use ... breathing to keep calm ... stepping back ... stop and think ... count to 10 ... looking at the big picture ...

... often we fight the most with the ones we love ... try practicing patience and counting to 10 ...

" We do not want to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised."

Hebrews  6 : 12

When is patience important?  All too often we think about patience when waiting for a late train means we are late for a doctor's appointment or standing in a long queue at the supermarket.

Here the verse is talking about patiently seeing salvation through.  The endurance it takes to persevere in your Christian walk and finish well.

Remember to be kind to yourself.  Your determination so far is worth celebrating.  Keep others in your thoughts too ... everyone needs a boost to keep on and lighten the load so patience seems more possible.

Sandy and the 1000 Paper Cranes

Found this great Blog by Sandy who is on a mission to create 1000 cranes for peace ... below is what she wrote about her project ... 

Sandy and the 1000 Paper Cranes: About The Project:

"So why 1000 paper cranes? What started this all?

After reading the true story of Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes by Elanor Coerr, I was feeling sad, yet inspired. Sadako was a young woman living Hiroshima at the time of the bombing. She developed leukemia not long after. While she was in a nursing home on her death bed, she decided to attempt to fold 1000 paper cranes. According to Japanese folklore, folding 1000 paper cranes allows the folder one granted wish, and hers was to live. Sadly she only lived to make 644 cranes. Sadako’s friends and family completed the remaining cranes for her.

While Sadako’s story didn’t have a happy ending, her goal of creating 1000 paper cranes was ambitious and has become a symbol of world peace. (Background: Cranes are a symbol of peace in Japanese culture. One myth holds that cranes live for 1000 years, hence making 1000 paper cranes.)

So I adopted this project. With a twist. Since cranes are symbols of peace, I wanted to put some positive words on there. My hope is that people will see the crane and be influenced in a positive way, even if it’s just a pleasant thought. Without being too whimsical or naive, I just wanted to spread a bit of happiness around in a relatively simple way. And of course, I’d love to hear from anyone who finds one."

... Fridge Notes ...

 Hey everyone ... this may sound basic but it is number one on my 'constantly forgetting list' ...

• Jesus is bigger than any detour, distraction, self-doubt or fear
• Relinquish control
• Ask and Trust
• Let go and Let GOD!

This is what I have put up on my fridge to remind me ... that God is the only way to find Peace ...

I NEED TO REMEMBER MY GOD IS BIG!

Is inner peace the most desired state of mind?  Why does it seem so elusive?

What if I told you we all can access this peace.  All we need to do is relinquish our tight hold on self and let God move.  Trust that God will equip us to be the person He created us to be. Expect supernatural help.  Remember God's constant presence and call on Him. 

Peace comes not in the doing or not doing but in the knowing.  Knowing that He who supplies peace will apply it.  Knowing that you are chosen, forgiven and set free.  Knowing that He will never let you go.

No matter what path you tread ... know that God is as close as a breath to you ... waiting for you to ask for help.  Wanting to pass on His peace ... a peace that lasts.

God's peace is for everyone ... just think of someone who needs your love and encouragement ... send them the link below ...
